Little soldier fighting the flu bug

Shaun caught flu last Sunday , maybe from Northpoint splashpark which I brought him on Saturday. Sunday he started having runny nose but was still very active. His mucus became thick with yellow/greenish type. So I think it was virus infection. Very quickly I gave him lots of fruits like kiwi. I gave him Manuka active 12, blended apple and blueberry, + lemon for him, and gave him echinaccea (added into his milk) for 3 times. Then on that same day, he was a bit feverish. Measured and it was only 37.3. So I thought ok, he started to fight the virus liao. Gave him some Korean bamboo salt diluted in his plain water. And also lemon juice. Also sponged him when he was sleeping and made green bean soup and Chinese big barley, to substitute water for his milk. At night, he pooped. Very black and hard poo and smelly!! I think he was damn heaty!!

Next day on Monday, fever was gone. Runny nose was gone. So he actually recovered within 2 days.

So I think echinaccea played a part too?? Other than the other natural remedies that I imposed on.

Well done boy! Keep it up!!

Oh, my potty

Shaun has been toilet trained for pretty long already since last year, which means he would run to the toilet to pee/poo. However, all these while he refused to sit on his potty. I have bought him 4 different shapes and sizes of potty, including the traditional round "tam tong" but he simply refused it. So where did he do his business then?? on the toilet floor!! Unless I got to hold him standing on my toilet.

Last week, there's great improvement. He suddenly wanted to pee and poo in the potty! Good job boy!

Blueberry fruitie pudding

Healthy snack for our kids!

Last weekend I tried making blueberry fruitie pudding, it turned out nice!! I blended blueberries, apples, bananas – smoothie for drink. Then got more I put into the cup and freeze. Wow, like pudding leh! You can try that too, 100% healthier than ice cream!

Next time when i make it i shall add some lemon in to preserve its freshness.

Busy , Busy , Busy

I realized that I have not been posting for 1 month already. I have been so busy , at work ( so stressed up!!) , and at home. I seriously need to consider either getting a maid or quit my job. I’m ecstatic when come to the thoughts of quitting current job and run own business!!

Organic food eatery with healthy baby/toddler food?

Yeah, I like to have own organic vegetarian food business, which provides baby/toddler healthy meals. You know , i have so much ideas and had worked hard enough to prepare good vegetarian food for my boy. The result is evident. Healthy and fit. Even if he catches a cold or have fever, he will recover on its own through natural remedies/food within a few days. Self healing is the most powerful remedy. I have been working so hard on it, result is proven GOOD, and it's worth my effort. Nothing will deter me to continue doing this. It's my interest, my hobby, and why not I turn it into my own business ? But it’s tough, so it remains a dream for the time being. I hope it will be a dream-comes-true for me one day.. Feeling very exhausted while I’m typing this in the midst of paper work in office.. really drowning in office… When can I be boss myself?

MRC playgroup
I have made up my mind to let Shaun join the MRC 3 hour daily programme at Khatib Central. He will start school next term 22 Mar. I hope he will enjoy it! If he doesn’t wanna go to school, I will pull him out. I just want him to have fun and have friends, as I find him to be so restless and bored at home.

Independence at 24 months
He is at a stage where he wants to do everything himself. What does he do himself now?

1. Eating, no need to feed him liao. He can finish one big bowl of porridge or noodle soup by himself, rejecting my help!
2. pooing ( he wants to close the door somemore!)
3. Peeing ( he will pull down his pant and pee in toilet)
4. Bathing ( yea, he will bathe himself and wipe himself, wrap himself in towel and come look 4 me after that)
