Farming, Balik Kampung!
The whole family went Bottle Tree Park to do farming. Yeah, there's a plot or a stretch of plantation belonged to the Ground Up Initiative (GUI)http://www.groundupinitiative.org/
We volunteered to help grow the herbs , veggies and plants there. Last Saturday we helped to do weeding. Shaun totally loved it. GUI's volunteer kept snapping his photo as he was such a lovely helper!
We shall be doing this every weekend, and water the herbs every Friday. Shaun is definitely the most excited one.
Meanwhile I would try to upload photos as I'm still figuring out where's the bluetooth driver to be installed in the pc.

I think i'm pretty on track with the Waldorf's style of parenting Shaun at home. Just lacks of rythm, and singing ( ok, my singing sucks). And also knitting, puppeting and toymaking. Having said that, learning in progress now by first - doing research.
Okay, trying to get the Mother goose rhymes right into my head! Grateful that I have one of the Barney VCD on the Mother Goose rhymes and that's for me to watch haha.

Sandplay at Lower Seletar
Great to know that Shaun's fever did not come back yesterday and today, at least till now. But to be on the safe side, I did not bring him to playgroup, which he cheered out loud. Just wonder why did he hate going to playgroup so much?
So instead of going to the playgroup, i told him, 今天我们去玩泥沙，明天去豆豆班，好吗？
好！that's what he said. OK, wait till tomorrow and see whether he 兑现承诺。
So off we went to the sandplay at the fitness area at Lower Seletar. He was so happy and cheerful. So much different from himself when we go to the PG. I thought he should have fun at the PG since there's so much activities like singing, dancing and story telling?
Anyway, if tonight fever doesnt come back, i guess he has fully recovered, battling off the virus! Am glad that I got over the challenge , as it was really quite challenging for gancheong mum like me to see his fever spiking over 39 and yet, praying hard that this little warrior will 坚持到底，战胜病菌。

Hard time going to playgroup
Yesterday was school holiday , so Shaun did not go to playgroup. His fever was gone for the whole day but came back at night. *again, strange* He was 38.2 c when he agreed to let me stuck the thermometre under his armpit. Fed him honey water before zz.
This morning, no fever. Brought his school uniform out and he started saying 不要。不要不要不要！！
So distract him by letting him watch the playgroup CD hoping that he will want to go. He laughed and giggled when he saw interesting class activities, again i said, ok, let's go to 豆豆班now, again, 不要不要不要！
Ok, decided to ignore him and let him play for a while. Brought out my cake mixer to play. Subsequently changed him, without objection, phew. Told him that we are going to playgroup with 妹妹next door. Agreed, so off we went.
Brought him to toilet first before going into class. He was still happy until I told him , ok , 跟妈妈说再见。Within seconds, eyes getting red, tears forming, and 不要 again. Few seconds later, 哇哇大哭起来了。Teacher shut the door ( very hard hearted but that's the way they do it ) Soon, his cry getting softer and stopped.
Well, today is only the 3rd day to class. Think he is still not used to not seeing me around him. Hope he will like the teacher and friends there soon.
I think his fever was due to him crying too long ( first day) in air cond room. The room was really freezing cold!
Tonight, I hope no more fever. As I really have no idea why his fever come and go??

Fever
Friday 2 July 10
Couldnt remember when was Shaun's last fever , probably in March when he caught a flu. Nanny told me last Friday that he was feverish at 3pm plus when I fetched him back at 6pm. Wondered why she din call and tell me about that. Anyway, I brought him home, measured him and he was at 38.9 degree c. He looked sick to me because he looked tired. Quickly, made the orange grape juice for him.
15 grapes ( peeled and unseeded)
1 orange & 1/4 lemon( juice first, then add 15 grapes with the juices in blender and blend)
Gave him little bit of camu - camu too which is rich in Vit C.
I think 2 hours later, his fever was gone. *strange*. I used hot water and soaked organic green beans and used that water for making his bedtime milk. After his fever was gone, he was back actively jumping around and din want to sleep till quite late at night.
Saturday
No fever, fully recovered. I think I was careless and I forgot to let him drink additional water n let him munched on oreo ( given by aunty next door) and some cookies. He kept wanting to go out so I brought him out but it was soon starting to rain when we were walking half way to the central. We stopped and went back, luckily he agreed. The wind was so strong, think he caught some rain too and his shirt was too thin. This stupid mama did not do enough to protect dear son and should insist not to bring him out when he just recovered. Why so? Fever was back on Sunday.
Sunday
Fever was high at 39.3. Decided to let him stay at home instead of going to the Gym. He was still playing and eating ( appetite dropped though). But he knew that he was running a fever and I scolded him for eating too much biscuits, including the oreo. Anyway, made the High C juice for him again. Let him eat watermelon too, and lots of fluids throughout the day. Other than high C juice, also juice apple and carrots for him. Made him pasta for lunch, ate a fair bit which was good enough. For dinner, made him 5 grains porridge ( very soupy kind) as he needs lots of fluids. Had 2 bowls of runny porridge with 小白菜 and carrot, flavoured with miso. Gave him honey water too. He finally tucked in at 8pm, measured him and fever dropped to 38 +

This morning, he woke up at 730 plus. First word every morning, not good morning or 早安which he used to say. It was 街街 or kai kai! He din want me to go to work every day. Anyway , fever was gone. Phew! Told nanny to monitor and see whether fever comes back. He refused to go nanny's house so I brought him to the park opposite for a while, then persuaded him to go nanny's place.
Just finished marketing. Will make carrot soup tonight plus some 小菜。made pumpkin soup for him but he din like it though, hehe.

Catch up on blogging
It has been a month since I last updated this blog. I have been so busy eventhough I have resigned from my work - last day on 11 June 10.
I cleaned each and every corner of the house, pack and unpack stuff, throwing old stuff, donating stuff, etc. But there is still lots more to go, but I could do it on my own pace, no hurry, :P
Why so busy still? Laundry, cooking, cleaning, and monitor the market. Yes, started trading already, hopefully can see returns soon.
And i'm glad that I made so much good food for hubby and dear son. Yeh , Shaun loves them , which made me happy n contented.
Now I juice for him every morning, and make veg soup for him whenever I have the ingredients and is free to make. I just want him to have all the nutritious food.
